Transformer Conveyors

The backbone to AEC's Type 2 End-of-line System is the transformer conveyor. Capable of supporting all press sizes 'AA', 'A', 'B' and 'C'. The transformer conveyor earned its name through reputation. Five conveyors make up the design and allow for the handling of stampings both vertically or horizontally. The three main lanes are available in lengths over 80'. Two angular conveyors are situated on the sides of the center lane allowing for tall or exceptionally large stampings to be transferred easily. When operating in this mode, 2 stampings may be indexed at a time (1 per side). The hidden ability of the conveyor is visible when a transformation is required. Because not all stampings require a vertical transfer, the two outside conveyor lanes are adjustable and provide a single horizontal bed. In use today, the Type 2, End-of-line System with its transformer conveyor allows operations to move stampings at a greater speed, increasing the number of labourers and production efficiency of the entire plant.
