A growing workload has resulted in the creation of a new position titled Controls Project Coordinator, and we are pleased to announce that Jack, our summer intern, has been offered and accepted this full-time position. Jack is a Mechanical Engineering senior at the University of Maine and will be completing his degree next Spring. We offer flexible scheduling, so Jack can finish his degree while still working at AEC and gaining valuable first hand experience.

In the role of Controls Project Coordinator Jack will be working closely with the Estimating and Engineering departments on the procurement of materials, pre- and post-project deliverables (e.g., submittal packages, as-built drawings), and providing technical support as needed for the Shop. We’re looking forward to Jack contributing to the ongoing success of AEC Engineering in this new position.

We will be posting another new position very soon: Sales Engineer (or a title very similar to that) to help promote AEC’s purpose of designing, building, programming, and integrating industrial controls. Our team requires this type of person: A person has excellent attention to detail; can follow instructions carefully; who takes pride in doing high-quality work; someone who can work closely in a team environment; a person who can meet deadlines; someone who can handle feedback, smiles and has a sense of humor.

In addition to paid holidays, vacations, and personal time, AEC also sponsors a health, dental and vision plan, as well as a retirement plan with company match. AEC provides a flexible work schedule which can be customized with the successful candidate. AEC Engineering operating hours are 7am–5pm Monday through Thursday and 8am–2:30pm on Friday. We are located at 172 Lower Main Street, Freeport, Maine. Parking is available on site.

Qualified candidates can email their resume and cover letter to info@aec-engineering.com.
