One of AEC’s Service Agreement customers, in the wastewater treatment industry, started experiencing repeated faults over the Christmas holiday and into the weekend. AEC was monitoring the errors and was contacted by the customer. On Sunday it was determined that an AEC technician should be dispatched for a service call. It was discovered that a previous contractor had not properly sealed a conduit and ozone had leaked into the control panel. The ozone ate away the CP’s weather tight gasket and caused intermittent errors and blown fuses. AEC temporarily got the panel & equipment running once again. A subsequent visit was scheduled to fully test the functional performance of the controls to ensure no further damage was incurred.
