AEC Engineering has been certified to list control panels with the UL-508A label for years, and is pleased to report that we are have been recently authorized by the compliance testing firms Intertek and Eurofins to apply the ETL (Electrical Testing Laboratories) and MET labels to specified products.
From Intertek’s website: “Intertek offers solutions to help companies develop and execute product testing plans to determine a product’s compliance status with global health and environmental regulations.” “…to determine a product’s compliance status with regards to material/chemical make-up; to determine which elements need to be replaced or redesigned; and to determine how new compliant materials and components will perform in the field: providing not only environmental compliance but also product reliability.”
From Eurofins MET Labs’ website: Eurofins “…supports manufacturers of consumer electrical and electronic products with extensive testing, certification and compliance services, allowing you to deliver compliant products to market quickly and cost-effectively.”
In both cases, these certifications were requested by a large, global supplier of industrial IOT products in order for the custom manufacturing that AEC Engineering is performing for them would be acceptable in new markets (e.g. Europe). The certification process required substantial documentation to ensure that AEC Engineering was following rigorous standards in both fabrication and testing. Then onsite inspections, in some cases unannounced, were performed to confirm first-hand that documented processes were being followed.
The successful completion of these inspections, and AEC earning the ability to apply the ETL and MET marks, confirm once again that AEC Engineering is a “best practices” and standards based company. What can we build for you?
